C F Wait, there's more cattle prods!? Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/03/23 Full Review Larry J Decent. Held my interest for the most part. I liked the actors. Creative take on a well-worn genre. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/22/23 Full Review null v Woeful is being kind. Not a film you would put on your CV as an actor advertising your abilities. Ponderous dialogue, poor directing, no tempo. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/04/22 Full Review john p When you do a search for sci-fi on Roku TV this movie comes up with icon labeled as Encounter — a tad confusing. Anyway, this was a fast forward type movie for me. All the talking head, plot development portions were terribly boring. I would watch what few action scenes I could find or UFO/alien encounters I might find. Finally, about 50+ minutes into the flick, things got interesting. So, the last 30 minutes of the flick were decent. You had suspense, a special FX glut, UFO and aliens. SPOILER ALERT: So we find out the UFO and occupants were from the future. They were us from then visiting us now. The "aliens" explain all this to the abductees and why they are doing what they are doing. It seems that in their highly evolved state, their ego crystallized and they were tethered now to existing in pure reason. It apparently was needful to study the emotional consciousness of humans from the past to help themselves regain what they had lost. The humans from now beg release and us from then grant it and basically after that the flick fizzles out. Being a retired UFOLOGIST, when I went on investigations and spoke with the obviously concerned UFO observers, they wanted me to provide answers and explain what happened. I of course could not. I offered the standard theories and one was time traveling humans coming back to observe us — so this movie's premise is not novel at all. Personally I believe UFO/alien encounters are far more sinister and a smokescreen for something most people would reject outright. We are being manipulated for something unimaginable coming in the near future. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Jeff R Well shot and made for a film with a modest budget. Interesting and often intelligent. Nothing earth shattering, but a nice little sci-fi movie. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/05/21 Full Review Read all reviews
