Audience Member An innovative short film that has pretty funny slapstick and is also surprisingly dark but stands out the most for the fact that it was made entirely with free software. The animation's not breathtaking but when you consider the fact that Blender doesn't cost you any money, the character animation looks impressive enough that it can be easy to forget this wasn't made with professional technology like all the big animation studios have. Big Buck Bunny is innovative and amusing, even if it's not as memorable as the short films made by the likes of Pixar and Aardman. The first time I watched it I thought it was alright. Well over the course of two days I saw this well over 50 times. It would play back to back to back to back...over and over and over.
