This documentary examines the life and political career of Jim Folsom, who served as governor of Alabama in the 1940s and 1950s, even though his progressive views on integration, civil rights and gender equality often clashed with the beliefs of the voting public who supported him. Filmmaker Robert Clem uses contemporary interviews with current champions of the politician and archival footage of news reels to reveal how Folsom won the hearts and votes of Alabama citizens.
