In theory, it's nice to imagine that those amiable airheads Bill and Ted would have been the ones to save 2020 from being a complete downer, but this belated sequel feels more wheezy than anything.

A solid legacy sequel with the same writers and sincerity of the originals. Alex Winter still acts great like Bill, even after all these years. Kenau Reeves feels more stoic in his post-John Wick career. Bill & Ted's daughters are spot-on with their impressions. I have mixed feelings about the retcon that Bill and Ted still haven't changed the world with their song yet. It's a retcon, but at least it's at the beginning and it's funny with time warping because they haven't made the universe saving song yet Missy getting married AGAIN at the start Ted's little brother was hilarious, especially the line "Making my Dad his own son". The double couples therapy was funny. I liked the funny robot character Dennis. I liked the fun time blending concert. There's a big retcon that their daughters made the song, while Bill and Ted still performed it while passing instruments to everyone across time. It's a funny and sincere sequel that maintains the spirit and passion of the originals.

Wow. Just wow. Finally had a chance to watch it and unfortunately it's better fast forwarded. What were they thinking. There's an extra half star to congratulate Alex and Keanu for getting out of bed for this drivel.
