      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

As wholesomely goofy as its heroes, Bill and Ted Face the Music is a rare long-belated sequel that largely recaptures the franchise's original charm.

Tony J Followed the Bill & Ted trend. Funny movie that was very entertaining. Bogus!!! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/28/20 Full Review Cristian s Era sabido que este film no iba a ser excelente a nivel historia y coherencia pero que es divertida, es divertida. Digna secuela aunque el único motivo real para verla sea nostalgia. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/03/24 Full Review Miss P I'd seen Bill & Ted's excellent adventure in the theater when I was a preteen. I immediately loved Keanu Reeves and followed his career. I'd totally missed when Face the Music released a few years ago. Recently, I've been going through a lot and I saw the original Bill & Ted was streaming. I didn't remember much so I gave it a go. Not only did it hold up, I felt so positive and happy I immediately watched Bogus Journey. The happiness continued. Face the Music wasn't streaming anywhere and renting it was expensive for some reason so I bought the DVD. The opening wedding scene was hilarious. Ted's dad! Missy! Ted's brother! The princesses! The only knock I'd give it is Keanu didn't seem as committed to the role. What's bonkers is he seemed to be more free and having more fun with their future selves (English squatters, prisoners). That took me out a bit but the core message of the movie and the rest of the cast was superb. The robot and Death were really standouts. When the movie ended I had tears in my eyes. It's so simple: be excellent to each other. I know I'm working harder to do just that. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/28/24 Full Review Test T I watched this on DVD and it's excellent dudes! I saw the first two films in the late 80's and watching this was like time travelling back 30 years. The film takes all the fun elements from the originals, and scales them up with the help of modern film techniques to deliver the essence of the originals in a more concise, and faster paced format, which is just awesome. The action now flows continuously with special effects appearing in nearly every scene. The time travelling is now multi threaded so we see lots more of everyone meeting their future and past selves, as well as those of their contemporaries, and amazingly it's easy to follow the plot which is a major achievement for a movie like this. The musical themes are integrated throughout, and work really well with the historical figures. All in all, I loved this movie and thoroughly recommend it ,although if you've not seen the originals, it would be better to watch those first.
