What to Know

Critics Consensus

As wholesomely goofy as its heroes, Bill and Ted Face the Music is a rare long-belated sequel that largely recaptures the franchise's original charm.

Robbie Collin Daily Telegraph (UK) Quickly collapses into something resembling a wobbly charity reunion, which fans may find themselves trying their hardest to enjoy through gritted teeth. Rated: 2/5 Nov 22, 2020 Full Review Clarisse Loughrey Independent (UK) We could all do with a little dose of Bill and Ted's optimism - the simple belief that kindness and camaraderie can bring us all together. Rated: 4/5 Sep 25, 2020 Full Review Larushka Ivan-Zadeh Metro Newspaper (UK) It's totally excellent (cue air guitar) to rediscover a corner of this dulled universe where joy and innocence still shine. Rated: 4/5 Sep 24, 2020 Full Review Geoffrey Macnab iNews.co.uk Bill & Ted Face The Music is likeable and easygoing, a sequel without a hint of cynicism, which should appeal both to anyone venerable enough to remember the original movies and newcomers alike. Rated: 4/5 Jan 16, 2025 Full Review Sarah Vincent Sarah G Vincent Views I hate emotional manipulation, but it worked, and I felt something at the end of the film as music becomes the unifying force in the face of divisions such as time, country, race and gender. Jun 12, 2024 Full Review Dave Giannini InSession Film A few years ago, when this was announced, many complained that we didn’t need another Bill and Ted movie. I am happy to report that they were wrong. Rated: A- Feb 20, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Tony J Followed the Bill & Ted trend. Funny movie that was very entertaining. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/16/21 Full Review Chad H alot dumber than I thought it would be Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/20/21 Full Review Janet R Your freaking app accepted our reservation and sent us to a CLOSED theater. Bogus!!! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/28/20 Full Review Matt E That was a tough watch Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/22/25 Full Review M W It was an adventure but it wasn't excellent. There were no melvins, we were looking out for them. There was more time travel than in part 2. They used the same idea of gathering historical figures like in part 1. Why was Kid Cudi in the movie? Nobody knows. Our favourite character was the primitive drummer called Grom. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/13/24 Full Review Audience Member This shouldn't have been made. It's horribly bad. I mean the sequel was bad, but this? This is so bad it can't be quantified. I had to stop and walk away twice because it was so bad. I wanted to finish it, but I gave up around the 50 minute mark. This movie is a test of endurance, and I could only take 50 minutes of it with two breaks of recovery time before my brain said no more, please make it stop.
