Kevin P @RT55971421 Feb 14 A very funny, creative, and surprisingly clever time travel comedy. Two teenage metal heads have fun time traveling across history to help them with their history report to avoid military school. It's like an American stoner Doctor Who with the magic phonebooth. There are so many funny parodies of historical figures and the movie takes full advantage of the premise of mixing them all with modern times. Young Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter both share great chemistry and are really likable & earnest with their Rufus teen characters. George Carlin is great as the cool mysterious phone booth time travel master Rufus. Dated 80s dude lingo make up most of Bill and Ted's dialogue. Which would sound cringey, but the movie goes to the extreme with it, even creating a future utopia inspired by Bill & Ted's music. The movie's really funny and is filled to the brim with rapid-fire jokes, historical references, and sight gags. The movie is hilarious and a very creative spin on the time travel genre. It’s a warm, goofy time‑travel comedy that never pretends to be anything more than fun, yet still manages to be clever and endlessly charming. Reeves and Winter shine as two irresistibly optimistic slackers, and the film’s playful spirit, quirky historical detours, and unapologetic silliness make it a perennial feel‑good watch. This movie was EXCELLENT, I mean Two kids both Failing history then a man on a mission from the future comes back in time to save them from colliding alternate dimensions and meeting some of the most historical figures in history. The quality of this movie was great. Both the storytelling and acting was just Excellent. I just thought when they are just getting every historical figure from history and are Luring them into the telephone booth. Overall my final thoughts are I will give this excellent 80's classic 4.5 out of 5 Stars. My favorite scene was when they are in class and they say excellent and then bogus while they are flirting with the princess.
