Billy & Molly: An Otter Love Story - 10/10. What a lovely and sweet documentary. Caught this at the Hot Docs Film Festival, and just like the packed crowd, I was swept up with the adorable nature of the film. It tells the story of an unlikely friendship between a man and an otter, and how that otter helped bring happiness to the man and his wife. Its one of those meme stories you get to see here and there in terms of animal human stories where unlikely friendships are created, and the doc does a great job of capturing the friendship between the two. The doc is also visually outstanding, capturing the beauty of the area and the season changes so amazingly well. We should remember that our connection to the world and the animals and beings that live on it is powerful, and this doc is another example how if we be kind and caring, the world and its inhabitants would be in a better place! Great doc, and definitely something you should catch once its available!

What an absolute joy to watch! This film is visually stunning and the story just warms your heart. I’ve always loved otters and feel blessed to have been able to witness such a unique friendship as Billy and Molly’s. The ending was perfect and gave you a sense of closure to a wonderful love story. I can’t wait to tell my animal loving son about it. He’s going to love it!
