Critics Consensus

Like its two obnoxious protagonists, this dreadfully unfunny Pauly Shore vehicle should remain separated from society.

SkyRo P "Biodome," the 90s film, is truly one of the most disappointing movies I've ever seen. Watching it felt akin to being on a surreal and uncomfortable acid trip—it was just that bad. I struggled to find any reason to justify my time spent on this dismal cinematic experience. The plot centers around two bumbling characters who accidentally get trapped in a biodome while trying to make the world a better place. Their antics come off as mere slapstick comedy, reminiscent of "Dumb and Dumber," but without the charm. It felt like the film lacked substance and direction. If the creators had intended to develop a meaningful story, they certainly missed the mark, as there was minimal character growth or complexity to speak of. Instead of showcasing the potential for growth or intelligence, the characters remained dimwitted throughout, and even their girlfriends were portrayed as foolish. It was frustrating to watch such talented actresses reduced to caricatures. The film seemed chaotic and unfocused, teetering between ridiculousness and absurdity without ever finding a coherent balance. Ultimately, "Biodome" felt like a missed opportunity; it needed far more depth and thought. From the very beginning, it felt like it was destined to fall apart, and it did. Makes stupid men think they can treat women like they do in this movie and win us over. The two guys are too stupid for my taste in comedy Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/15/24 Full Review Matt H It's dumb, but it's a fun ride. It's best not to overthink it, or think at all while watching it. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/04/24 Full Review Alan g Bio-dumb. Stoner movie or not. Unwatchable. Waste of time and money. I would give it no stars if I could. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/26/24 Full Review Chris O Don't these critics understand that this is supposed to be a STONER comedy?? Just because there're jokes in this movie that you don't understand, doesn't mean you should rate it so badly. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/19/24 Full Review Read all reviews
