Alex C An interesting premise, acting on some wasn't the greatest but the main lead was very good. Pacing of the film was good and it was funny in parts, gore was good and you begin to really feel sorry for her! I don't understand all the bad reviews, watching this isn't a waste of time. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/03/23 Full Review Craig B For starters, not a movie for the faint-hearted. Some pretty nasty scenes in this kind of ‘body horror' movie. The pacing skips along pretty well in the short 89 minute duration and you are never impatient for the realisation of the feeling of dread which continues to build throughout the movie. Some of the grotesque visuals remind me of ‘The Fly' (later Cronenberg feature with Jess Goldblum). This won't be for everyone, but it is a mildly entertaining horror offering. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/19/23 Full Review prawnda s i'm a fan of deliberately bad horror comedy, and this was not it. special effects consist of orbeez, orbeez and more orbeez. im not kidding. they keep using them for the entire movie. there are no laughs, no scares, and the writing/direction is too poor to tell if any of the cast are decent at acting. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/03/23 Full Review Audience Member It's as if this film had two directors one doing the first 20 min of the film as found footage then another director taking over for the last hour which vastly improves the film in all manner the make-up and acting etc worth a watch in the end Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review ken k Elma Begovic as Casey and her body horror transformation is the only reason to watch this otherwise overrated film. Bite, in no way lives up to the hype that for some reason surrounds this film. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member The movies entire budget was spent on Boba tea tapioca, certainly not acting lessons. Laughably bad. Brian Tallerico RogerEbert.com At its best, and it gets pretty good after a really rocky start, "Bite" is a clever gorefest with some creative twists and turns. Rated: 2.5/4 May 6, 2016 Full Review Noel Murray Los Angeles Times After an opening 10 minutes that promises something depressingly mediocre, the film takes a turn to the atmospheric and gruesome, and winds up being one of the year's more provocative shockers. May 5, 2016 Full Review Chris Nashawaty Entertainment Weekly It seems to exist merely to spoil your appetite. Rated: C+ May 5, 2016 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review Bite is the kind of movie that wouldn't exist if its characters didn't make such terrible decisions. Rated: 1/4 Apr 15, 2022 Full Review Emilie Black Cinema Crazed It is most definitely worth a watch but gorehounds beware: it doesn't shock as much as touted and it doesn't reinvent the bug movie wheel. Rated: 3/5 Apr 19, 2020 Full Review Joey Keogh Wicked Horror This isn't the new Fly because, let's face it, nothing is or ever will be, but it's an entertaining watch nonetheless and most likely the best body horror movie of the year.
