Audience Member I dug this one a bit more than the film it was paired with on a DVD (The Black Gestapo) but only because it was a bit different in its setting, amidst a black biker gang, and had some humor in there to break up the monotony. Rental? Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Worst blaxploitation movie? Worst one I've seen. Wonder if the finale inspired part of the Night Rider sequence in Django Unchained? Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member The Black Six is a strange revenge film starring six NFL players including "Mean" Joe Greene. While the plot is hammy, the fight choreography is terrible, the acting is laughable, and the film as a whole is completely ridiculous, it manages to be a fun film the whole way through due to its rather awful production values. It's basically a time capsule to the 70's, but it's a fun film if you like cheesy exploitation films. It's far from being the best blaxploitation film I've ever seen, but The Black Six works. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member 6 NFL stars play Vietnam vets who are happy drifting bikers until they head to cracker country to deal with a white biker gang that killed one of their brothers. Honkies should heed the ominous closing message. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Bad 70's blaxploitation made interesting by the starring cast (6 All-Pro NFL players - plus Maury Wills as "coach") and some good 70's groovin' Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Awkward, overt rip-off of Melvin Van Peebles's SWEET SWEETBACK, right up to the warning title card that flashes before the closing credit. Amusing to see so many 1970s African American NFL stars in the title roles, and even funnier for the advertisement of their current team ("Starring Joe Greene of the Pittsburgh Steelers") in the opening montage. Passable if, like me, you're into cult cinema of the period. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
