It seems that most of the magic of the series is gone. It's an unecessary addition to the Blackadder saga, despite the fact that it's not that bad.

Another cunning plan gone wrong for Blackadder and Baldrick. If this is the last we see of the pair it was a good outing

Not as good as any of the TV series but still worth a watch.
Ten years after the fourth and final Blackadder TV series, we have this, a one-off Blackadder TV movie. Not as good as the TV series, but still fairly hilarious. The writing isn't as clever or the dialogue as biting as before and the plot relies on hijinks too much.
Still, quite entertaining and worth the watch.

Blackadder: Back & Forth is a different experience from the usual Blackadxer episode because it doesn't follow a sitcom style in terms of cinematography or the presence of a studio audience or a laugh track. But it proves entertaining.
While the ending to the final episode of the series Blackadder Goes Fourth was effective and unforgettable, it was hard to accept as being the ending to comedy series because it left me fairly emotionally shaken. So of course it was eager for more Blackadder where things were left on a more comedic or uplifting note. And that's just what Blackadder: Back & Forth presented to me.
Blackadder: Back & Forth takes a high budget and a high concept in the right direction thanks to Paul Weiland's direction which redeems his lacklustre effort as the director of Leonard Part 6 and reminds us that he does know how to deliver the laughs when set up with the right material. Thankfully, Blackadder: Back & Forth contains the same fresh material that the original show was popular for thanks to the writing efforts by Richard Curtis, Rowan Atkinson and Ben Elton, and it is completely packed with plenty of humour and charm which fans of the TV series can admire, as well as updated qualities such as fine cinematography and good visual effects.
Blackadder: Back & Forth also features one of the greatest moments in Shakespearian entertainment history where Lord Blackadder travels back in time to meet William Shakespeare himself, and then gives him a punch in the face for the suffering he has caused to "every schoolboy and schoolgirl for the next 400 years" followed by a kick for Kenneth Branagh's 4 hour film version of his play Hamlet. Quite frankly, this is one of the greatest things I've ever seen in British comedy because given the chance I would gladly punch William Shakespeare in the face for what he has done to change so many school classes for students over the centuries. So in a way, Blackadder: Back & Forth fictitiously did something I have always wanted someone to do, and it deserves immense praise for that among other things.
And while a lot of the humour is more predictable by this point in Blackadder's life cycle and the story is a bit rushed towards the end with the pacing essentially going into hyperdrive since it doesn't run for as long as it should, it's still a rounding success thanks largely to the cast.
Rowan Atkinson's return to his roots in the role of Lord Blackadder is refreshingly hilarious once again due to his dedication to character and pompous line delivery being no less effective than they were back in Blackadder's heyday, and the same goes for Tony Robinson who has lost no charisma playing the role of Baldrick for so long long and is still a comedic delight for the screen. And his chemistry with Rowan Atkinson is still plentifully hilarious.
And Re-uniting the cast back with Hugh Laurie, Stephen Fry, Miranda Richardson, Tim McInnery and one time guest star Rik Mayall makes it a nostalgic comedic venture, and the presence of newcomer Colin Firth is funny as well.
Really, for better of for worse, Blackadder: Back & Forth captures the same comedic qualities that made the show such a hit and is more than likely to please fans and hopefully newcomers all around.

It seems, like the 'Witchblade', the Black Adder apparently is reborn, in different times during the history of England. People there don't mind, since this Adder stings, and doesn't bite, just like a bee. The people feel that they are the pollen, and the flower is also stung in a similar manner, not that they are anyways any humble flower.
