Audience Member 68% "The truth comes back, always does."-Sheriff Harding (Michael Pare) Sure the charaters were blah, except for Clint Howard (his goofy poytrayal of a sleazy hotel clerk rocked), and sure the unfocused, shaky, slow mo cam was annoying (but made sense, when matched with Matt's fuzzy mind set), but it was a over all smart picture. Good soundtrack as well. "What are you, enemy of the conspiracy?"-Greg (Clint Howard) Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member the worst movie I have ever had the unpleasure to see. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member terrible on every level Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member It's like a long episode of some awful 80's TV miniseries but I would say it's one of Boll's more interesting and original films. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member not too bad. twisted ending. Kevin Thomas Los Angeles Times Director Uwe Boll and writer Robert Dean Klein fail to generate any interest in an unsympathetic hero caught up in an intricate plot that while cleverly worked out, cannot overcome blah characters. Rated: 1/5 May 10, 2002 Full Review Stephen Holden New York Times It turns out to be smarter and more diabolical than you could have guessed at the beginning. Rated: 3.5/5 May 10, 2002 Full Review Lou Lumenick New York Post Director Uwe Boll and the actors provide scant reason to care in this crude '70s throwback. Rated: 1/4 May 10, 2002 Full Review Emanuel Levy EmanuelLevy.Com Rated: 2/5 Sep 29, 2005 Full Review Brent Simon Entertainment Today Blackwoods is all affected 'style,' not intelligent or clear enough to pull off its grand vision. When the final act twists come they don't feel so much shocking or intelligent as just ridiculous. Rated: F Jul 18, 2003 Full Review Harry Haun Film Journal International Crudely executed by all hands, Blackwoods is--true to its title--an overreaching blur.
