I must admit I wished Blast landed its punches more cleanly in its third act, but when this family goes Hum Saath Saath Hain in decimating the bad guys, it is hard not to cheer along. Go to Full Review

Powered by an engaging Preity Mukhundhan, a dependable Arjun and a filmmaker who clearly enjoys spending time with these characters, Blast delivers exactly what it promises: a fun, energetic entertainer with plenty of heart. Go to Full Review

...Blast is a Preity Mukundhan show all along, and the Star-actor knows how to pack a punch, alright! In a different film, where more ingenious ideas are spring-loaded for mass elevations, Blast would have truly become her career-defining big bang. Go to Full Review

Ravikumar S Jun 1 Great action pack movie. See more Nona May 31 Low expectations going in. Genuinely surprised coming out. Preity Mukundhan is the protagonist, trained in martial arts, unexpected casting, completely pays off. Arjun is there but this is her film. Two diametrically opposite threads held together by a wafer thin connection. First half is slow but necessary. When the threads finally connect, the movie goes into overdrive and doesn’t let up. Ravi Basrur as music director was a left-field choice for a Tamil masala film. Works better than expected. A solid undemanding watch if you check your logic at the door. See more Cinema S @cinema_sensei 4d Blast delivers exactly where it matters most: the action. The martial-arts sequences are energetic, stylish, and Preity Mukhundhan and Arjun bring plenty of screen presence. The family emotion and comedy also work. But the story is familiar, the villains are weakly written, and the long runtime hurts the pacing. Still, a fun action entertainer. See more Soundhar B @RT13921598 Aug 15 A beautiful story of NOT the usual "Hero" who saves the damsel in distress and especially it starring our very own Action King, but gives the baton to the women in the movie from not just being a pretty face to look at, but also one who can kick ass when the situation requires it. This movie also gives a beautiful message to how parenting can be looked at in this day and age where crime against women are rampant across all streets and alleys not just in India but also across the world and explores one way to keep ourselves safe. And as always, never forget what it means to be a good human being at the end of the day... another beautiful message from the team. Hats off to the team. Amazing movie. Great message. The movie also showcases some very interesting camera work from the new director Subash. See more Harish N @harish_napa Jun 30 The 2026 Tamil action thriller film is a solid, middle of the road endeavor that struggles to find true narrative consistency beneath its high octane fight choreography. Arjun is absolutely terrific, delivering a powerhouse performance with a sharp screen presence that completely carries his segments. He captures the unpolished intensity of a karate master with genuine charm, while Preity Mukhundhan and Abhirami provide brilliant, high quality backing alongside him as they seamlessly jump into the heavy stunt work. Writing by Subash K Raj drops a few unique ideas regarding the family dynamic, but the screenplay remains incredibly formulaic. The film often trades deeper character development for quick gags and predictable villain arcs in the final act. While Ravi Basrur's thunderous musical score and the excellent cinematography ensure it remains a visually grounded experience, the uneven pacing makes it a fair one time watch that works entirely on the strength of its main cast. See more Aun M @AunMohammad Jun 29 Action choreography is very good. Performances are also good. But no powerful story no scripts.. the storyless movie base on massive karate actions. Only karate engages the audience. See more Read all reviews
