Blink Twice

What to Know

Critics Consensus

A bold and memorable debut that thrusts Zoë Kravitz into the turf of directors to watch, Blink Twice is a live wire of a film.

Audience Says

Blink Twice may make you squint at times, but a few strong performances and a stylish mise-en-scène are enough to make this sometimes-gratuitous shindig fairly palatable.

Sophie Gilbert The Atlantic One of Kravitz’s major accomplishments in the movie is how she and the cinematographer, Adam Newport-Berra, make an island paradise feel like hell on Earth. Dec 6, 2024 Full Review Christina Newland iNews.co.uk Kravitz has style and good timing, and Ackie is fantastic in the lead, capable of conveying both “cool girl” and absolute eye-bolting horror. Rated: 3/5 Sep 17, 2024 Full Review Tim Cogshell FilmWeek (LAist) It has style all over the place... It's well-executed. Sep 16, 2024 Full Review Matthew Koss The Wandering Screen (YouTube) Editor Kathryn J. Schubert showcases the intentionality of an effective edit. Scenes are interrupted mid-conversation, night changes to day abruptly, and it’s like time has passed and has stayed the same. Rated: B+ Aug 16, 2025 Full Review Gavin Spoors FILMHOUNDS Magazine Kravitz is a great actor, and it turns out she's a director full of promise. Rated: 4/5 Aug 5, 2025 Full Review Marissa Hill Shade Studios It's a powerful, layered film that will stick with you long after you’ve finished watching and may even have you blinking twice. Jack Eerie af but with the right amount of fun with great DARK comedy. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/04/25 Full Review Shannon J Every time I felt comfortable the rug was pulled from beneath me. This one definitely lingered. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/08/25 Full Review Epiphany Such a disturbingly brilliant movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/01/24 Full Review Phillip so good. captured the control and privilege of these wealthy Epstein like men and kept one guessing! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/30/24 Full Review Crystal B The film opens with a trigger warning due to the depiction of sexual violence against women, indicating that viewers are about to watch a controversial story. The title, "Blink Twice," refers to the old adage suggesting that if someone is in trouble, a true ally would blink twice to signal for help. However, I felt it fell off with trying to include multiple themes all at once (technology, traumas, cancel culture, etc.). However, I will say Channing Tatum did well with acting in this movie cementing his talents to multi-genres. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 11/19/24 Full Review Nathan This movie gave me some good laughs.
