doug p Witchcraft and demons. If you like those plot elements, maybe this film will be of interest. Otherwise, expect a typical B movie of the aughts. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Very early in the movie (first minute) the soundtrack spazzes out for no reason, very quickly, like the composer/synth player suffered a sudden and hilarious stroke. Blood Legend fails in almost every category I can think of (directing, dialogue, acting, production value, etc.) just in the first six minutes. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Bloke who looks like Russel Grant gets his niece to sacrifice members of her school to bring back her relative- a blood craving demon. The stupid girl then wonders why she has no friends left and gets sacrificed by Russell. The Demon itself was brilliant, at times it was a short woman then it would turn into and angry 7ft monkey beast. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member The acting is wooden, the story is uninspired and the movie looks like it was shot as a mid-term project in a freshman film class (which it might have been). So what makes "Blood Legend" so damn entertaining? Mostly it's the little things. There are exceptions to the acting deficiency noted above: Lead antagonist Moira (Syn DeVil) engagingly combines sensuality, menace and camp without going too far into any one mode. She also spends the majority of the film flaunting her, um, female assets to the audience, a choice that doesn't add substance to "Legend" but does show how committed an actress can be to a project that looks like it was assembled using late '90s camcorders and early '00s film editing software. The standout in the cast, though, is Randal Malone, whose adjutant antagonist is so enjoyably flamboyant you can almost hear Rip Taylor applauding with approval. If only Malone and DeVil were allowed to do whatever the hell they wanted, "Legend" might have been a decent -- if shoddily made -- flick. Had the filmmakers done away with the bland twentysomethings who are supposed to be the heroes, they might have had something. For example, instead of having DeVil play an executed witch who returns to seek vengeance on the offspring of those who killed her (a gothier, bustier version of "The Fog," it would seem), cast her as a wood nymph who lures men in the hills outside of Flagstaff to their doom. That doom could in part be represented by Malone, who instead of playing DeVil's ancient lover could play an effete, murderous sprite. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member OMG this could easily be the very worst ever made. And it is unfortunate because the filmmakers were so sincere in the documentaries. They really tried not to make a steaming turd....but they did. We have the worst flamer ever as Uncle Isasc...deer in the headlight fivehead leading lady...and a grand pile of crap for the rest...oh yeah and a stupid monster that switched to an out-ofwork porn star. oh dear. this could have been great. actually no...it couldn't Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
