prawnda s it's not exactly bad, but it's a little confusing. the film has few to no jokes in it besides the beginning and ending having silly soundtracks. it's not scary or funny, it's much more of a drama, and it's rather sad. i don't know if there were supposed to be other jokes during the film, but if there were they were utterly unfunny. i don't see how anyone has rated this 5 stars, since it doesn't really have much emphasis or a very interesting story. it's cool that the vampire is a nice guy who doesnt want to kill people, but the film itself is rather dull. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Stupid-Good Movie: Seldom does Hollywood's easel of superfluous story-replays, succeed in escaping viewers' acumen. This movie is such a relief from the dull rehashing of tales masquerading as innovative brilliance, arrogantly assuming easy audience acceptance. This story is truly imaginative. This movie is a fun frolic through a donut shop - by a vampire - and some donut shop girl. Is this your typical poorly written script trying to come across as serious scary-theater - - - NO Way. It's poorly written and not trying to fool anyone. Are the actors trying to be serious? You have got to be kidding me. NO Way. Come on! This is a story about donuts and vampires. This flick is cheese with a capital 'C'. In no way are they trying to hide the cheese - it is melted all over the edges. There is no quasi-serious-actor - the flick is one big joke - and the cast is very well aware of it. With all this being said, I enjoyed this bit of entertainment - most brilliant in every aspect. Even as background noise, 'Blood and Donuts', was well worth the time. Rent it - watch it - and devour it. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member My Favorite Vampire movie ! Alexandra Heller-Nicholas Fangoria Blood and Donuts doesn't savage masculinity like a lot of feminist horror, it does something quite different; it embraces it, allows it a space to be soft, and Holly Dale does it all with grace, humor, and charm.
