Geoff Berkshire Los Angeles Times The generally likable performers do what they can with thinly drawn characters whose traits are limited to "virgin" and "ditz," but it's hard to care much about what happens to them even as generic archetypes. Aug 30, 2018 Full Review Frank Scheck The Hollywood Reporter Attempts scares and yucks in equal measure and fails to deliver either. Aug 29, 2018 Full Review Kristy Puchko Pajiba After an incredibly spirited and entertaining first hour, Blood Fest gets tripped up on its laborious explaining about the hows of this terrifying event. Mar 22, 2018 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews Bloody, witless and tasteless valentine to horror films. Rated: c- Sep 5, 2020 Full Review Brent McKnight The Last Thing I See It wears its heart on its sleeve, but in the end, it derails and winds up nothing more than a trifling momentary distraction that doesn't leave much of an impression. Rated: C Jun 30, 2020 Full Review Ryan Larson Ghastly Grinning Overall, Blood Fest is a blast. It has a plot that is astronomically unfeasible but it doesn't matter because you're having so much fun with the film. As a horror fan, it's a must see. Jun 24, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Sumit S This movie is wasn't bad, but also not great. Story is actually interesting and the humor is good. Only reason this movie isn't rated higher is because the acting and direction is crap. Like every single person's acting was terrible and unbelievable. And director seems like he let a lot of subpar things pass because he thought he didn't need to try as that's kind of the point of the movie, but it didn't help the movie. If the acting and directing had been better, then this movie would have totally hit all cylinders as a quirky, meta horror movie. I will say, Zachary Levi's cameo was pretty fun. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/26/24 Full Review Melissa L I watched this because someone online said it was better than "Hellfest," and I think they were right! I don't understand the low ratings at all. I think this is a great Halloween movie! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/04/24 Full Review Andy S (I'm Mistletoe Virus I'm saying I love! this movie!) Blood Fest is a horror-comedy which can be filed under the meta movie bracket. celebration of the horror genre. A horror-obsessed teenager goes along to a new horror-themed festival called Blood Fest with his two pals. When there, it becomes quickly apparent that the horror is real and the attendees become the prey of the killers who run the place. chainsaw killers, killer clowns, a hillbilly psycho, sexy vampires! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/12/23 Full Review jonathan d A fairly fun movie that doesn't try too hard to be funny or edgy. Unrelatable motives from the antagonist side that led to a horribly dissatisfying ending but overall, worth the time of watching. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I enjoyed the film much more than expected! It's far from perfect, but the whole movie feels like a love letter to the horror genre as a whole. I found the characters likable, though i wish they had focused more on the rules and how to use them to advantage. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member I don’t know what to make of this film. It started off promising, however, failed to generate any suspense with its protagonists trying to escape and survive. Similar films such as Haunt & Green Room serve up the thrills in similar situations and deliver the goods. Even though this had likable leads, and plenty of gore, the over the top, splatter fest, was lackluster and flat and not even funny which I think it was striving for as well. It’s not a total waste, but in my opinion, misses the mark. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/29/22 Full Review Read all reviews
