Audience Member I love these types of stories.. especially to hear the story of the first man in the US exonerated by DNA. What a huge disappointment! I didn't get half way through this documentary. It's poorly edited to say the least. It shows him talking about the same things over and over. I never even got to the exanoration portion. It was unbearable to watch. His demenour is very unlikeable and the use of vulgar language is annoying. Yes awful a man to be wrongfully accused of something like he was accused of. But this did not paint a picture of a man I had any empathy for. He made so many contradicting statements. I'm shocked they chose to include him saying he didn't care about what happened to the little girl because he didn't do it. It didn't show one friend or family member.. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say he may not have ended up on death row but I'm pretty sure he was heading to prison either way. He just is the most unlikeable person. In one part he talks about how awful the other inmates were and the very next scene he talks about walking to chow in a single file line only he uses the words like herding cattle. How else would they take a bunch of convicted criminals to chow? Just stupid! I think he was pretty fortunate to go to chow with the rest of the inmates. Every death row inmate I've seen was given their meals in the cell and was never with any other inmates. Completely isolated.. oh one last complaint.. he claims he was in the worst prison in America in 1985.. pretty sure their are just a few I can think of that were far worse. I can't believe someone didn't guide him any better on his story telling. I'm sure the book is worse. BTW.. this is my first review ever. I only gave it a star because it made me.
