Jul 9 Better than Citizen Kane but not quite The Godfather See more 11/27/2020 Pretty cool, yet absurd slasher flick with a hint of giallo, from the often-praised Franco. It's not as sleazy as his other work, but that doesn't stop it from being taboo and pushing all the buttons required to get the censor's panties in a twist. See more 09/23/2015 Franco does a slasher and yes it's ludicrous in the extreme. Bloody Moon is silly fun from veteran sleaze maestro Jess Franco and it is easy to see why the DPP got their silly knickers in a twist, this pushed all the buttons, incest, blood on breasts, power tools, a child ran over by a classic car it has all the essential ingredients that annoy the censorious. But fans of 80's slasher movies or giallo pics will get a lot of enjoyment from this German film from the Spanish legend Bloody Moon is a Bloody Treat. See more 04/09/2015 No moon to be seen... Bloody Moon is one of the video nasties garnered notoriety from the BBFC, the gratuitous nudity and violence definitely made it a suitable candidate. The subject matter was also very dark, it is one of the rare video nasties I'd consider as a worthy candidate. Deserves a watch for blood thirsty horror fans.
