Cheryl Eddy io9.com Bloody New Year has a completely forgettable cast aside from Roman’s level-headed final girl, but is otherwise full of absolutely unforgettable details. Audience Member No chairs managed to escape :( The haunting of margam castle was better cause at least one chair survived that one. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/08/24 Full Review Christopher B Bloody New Year could go into the category so bad it's funny if you edited it down to 20 minutes, but you'll soon get bored of the dreadful acting, terrible special effects and nonsensical script. It went straight to video; I'm surprised it even got that far. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/21/24 Full Review Erik B Terrible and nonsensical. Hard to follow what's supposed to be going on...and what does the New Year even have to do with the story? Maybe I just didn't get it. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/03/24 Full Review Jens B BLOODY NEW YEAR starts with our characters going to the fair and getting in trouble (Wales didn't have any safety regulations whatsoever in '87), driving their car + boat trailer through an attraction, then getting on the boat, sinking said boat, and stranding on a deserted(?) island. There, they find an abandoned hotel, decorated for New Year's 1960, which is possessed by (quite friendly aka British) ghosts. Then a whole lot of crazy stuff happens.. Watch this for the "acting", some original kills, possessed hand railings, possessed tables, possessed kitchen, and an overall laid back spooky vibe. Good trash. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/31/23 Full Review Clark P If you're one of those people who like crazy horror movies, this is your go to movie. It just doesn't make any sense, well the first time going into this film I just thought this movie was bonkers. Then I realized this was an okay film. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I loved this picture! Don't let the opening sequence fool you, the effects are truly terrible. But it was laugh out loud funny! One to watch with teens. Great fun! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews
