Paul G "We're looking for a wanted criminal who we have reason to believe may be hiding in the school." "There are at least 200 of them here, my dear fellow." This time around, the terrors of St. Trinian's harbour a jewel thief while the 6th form girls (who look more like a burlesque revue) aim to seduce a foreign prince. Their crimes include kidnapping, breaking into the Ministry of Education, forgery, theft and assault on a water polo team. ("It won't be a game, it will be a liquid massacre.") The characters are invariably absurd, the situations classic slapstick and the production values are unexpectedly good. This 2nd film may be the best of the series. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Unexceptional sequel to the delightful first feature. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member 2nd film from the classic British comedy film series. The girls manage to get a trip to Rome with the usual riotous consequences Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member An enjoyable light-comedy storyline with the added attraction of Terry-Thomas in the the cast, however he is underused and underplayed in the scheme of things. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Lacks some of the insanity of the original, but still has a healthy dose of laughs. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review bill t It's been a while since I saw the original Belles Of St Trinians, I didn't know there were sequels! This nicely picks up where the original ends, the girls are still hell on wheels, noone is safe from their antics. A diamond thief tries to take refuge in the school by disguising himself as a new teacher (don't ask) and gets his one-uppance when they go to Rome (again, don't ask how). Full of funny smart gags and interesting characters, although it loses it towards the end. Looking forward to seeing the others!
