Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times Nistico's clichd, sledgehammer dialogue alone is enough to shut this one down. Rated: 1/5 Sep 13, 2012 Full Review Kristina Bravo L.A. Weekly Nistico seems to have achieved what he wanted: He validates the question, If the American dream was stolen, wouldn't you want to steal it back? Oct 12, 2012 Full Review Phil Hall Film Threat The film scores as an honest and often disturbing portrait of contemporary working class life, and it certainly deserves to be seen. Audience Member For its reported $75,000 budget, BLUE COLLAR BOYS is an accomplishment - grim poetry about the current recession with a bleak message that the working class can only be pushed so far. There are some flaws with the script that overindulges in its misery without providing any relief, but BLUE COLLAR BOYS is a searing reflection of our times. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Blue Collar Boys deserves a two thumbs up! Realistic and original this film illustrates the emotional and financial struggles suffered by the blue collar families that make up the back bone of American Society. As the main characters are challenged with many difficult decisions throughout the film it was very difficult at times to hold back tears. It's very refreshing to see a film grounded in reality about REAL people instead of characters living in a typical Hollywood fantasy. I highly recommend this film! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Amazing movie!!! Loved it!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member A compelling and relevant drama about working class life and family struggle. Honest and provocative storytelling. I can't wait to see it again! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member While visiting friends in New York state, I'm invited to go see this indie film. First off, I'm very lucky both my parents have jobs, but, this film made me think of the good chunk of this country that's suffering. And frankly we could ALL be around the corner from financial FUBAR! . . cudos to the man who made this movie, it made me THINK! And thank u for NOT filling this world with more thoughtless dribble. Support indie film AND your local mom and pop shops yo! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member I saw this in Toronto, and i'm so glad it seems to be taking off, its a worthy film, with a worthy message. Well done, really takes a look at the struggles and obstacles that the working class face and I recommend any movie lover that is conscious of todays economic and social problems to check this one out.
