Judging by director Sean O’Malley’s briskly told story and visually absorbing film, Rodrigue seemed to know everyone of renown in Louisiana, an eclectic number of whom are interviewed here. Go to Full Review

Carol R Aug 7 So surprised to see Emerill, Drew and James Carville as friends of George. In the late nineties I saw a Blue Dog in a colleague’s home. I guess I’ve been obsessed since then. (Unaware). My dog has a blue dog with hot dog above the dishes. Probably from a calendar. I had some calendars over the years when I could find them. I have watched the video at least 5 times. For me once is never enough. I find new info each time I see it. I totally enjoyed learning about his process and how his focus evolved over the years. I will keep watching as long as it is available. Blue dog does remind me of my first dog at age 12. See more Vickie C Jul 16 I've watched this twice so far and will be watching again. I have been a fan of George Rodrigue for a long time and now I'm an even bigger fan. It adds depth and emotion to art that I already loved! His spirit and generosity, which lives on today, was special and will not be forgotten anytime soon. See more Diane K Jun 20 A beautiful film about a super talented, super generous man. Amazing story of how his art evolved from painting Cajun life to painting Blue Dogs! A must see for everyone - not just art lovers. See more Eldridge B Jun 17 Marvelous documentary of the man who created and became Blue Dog. A great synopsis of his life and work - loved it. And the artwork presented is awesome - even saw a few in this video that I had never seen before. Highly recommended ! See more Read all reviews
