Wonderful, similar to Bo's other works, but it was able to show his mental state, as well as make you feel a empty dreed after watching, in a good way. I'd recommend it as a good start to Bo Burnham's work, as it has great songwriting, comedic timing, and stage performance! (:

bo is hilarious, and its ever jarring as you know the content of his later work but the lighthearted nature of his former. its absolutely a work of art. im not a standup fan, as you can tell by the fact as a teen i write like a 69 year old movie reviewer, but i truely enjoyed this. 10/10, a must watch :)- mi

"Make Happy" is the natural continuation of "what." and mostly suffers from it. The energetic Burnham now and then manages to sneak in a couple of thought-provoking or even resonant bits in an enjoyable and competent whole, but the humour behind the flashiness of the show's structure isn't as unpredictable as he seems to think it is, or as it was the last time round. The meta card is played to death, and both the songs and stand-up feel like a lesser variation of an already established shtick.
