Rachel Wagner rachelsreviews.net It's not reinventing the wheel like say Monty Python might but it is a charming comedy nonetheless. Rated: B Mar 12, 2019 Full Review Tony Mastroianni Cleveland Press Well, it's clean, which is something to distinguish a movie these days and if Boatniks resembles something you saw on television the other night, it also rises above it by being more professionally more slickly done. Stephen C LOL, the funniest 1 4/6 hours ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/25/22 Full Review r 9 I enjoyed this, possibly Disney's best live-action work since the mid-1960s. 'The Boatniks' captured my attention from start-to-finish, it never drags once thanks to a fun premise and a nicely chosen cast. I was wondering at the beginning how they were gonna connect the two plots together, thankfully they do a fine job at keeping things fresh and amusing. Robert Morse (Garland) and Stefanie Powers (Kate) team up very effectively, I really bought into how they progress together. Away from those two, you have Phil Silvers (Harry), Norman Fell (Max) and Mickey Shaughnessy (Charlie) who bring most of the comical stuff, their characters aren't anything particularly revolutionary or unique but they are funny - especially given what occurs to them. Strong pacing, pleasing humour that doesn't get repetitive and a well picked cast. You should definitely give this a watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A above average prototypical Disney Comedy with over the top slapstick and paper thin script. Robert Morse and Stefanie Powers are likable and Phil Silvers is entertaining as the villain! 04-16-2020 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member This live-action hasn't aged well !!! and I'm a sucker for old Disney flicks.. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member pithy review:disney should have scuttled this aquatic farce before it left the dock...... <a href="http://s1181.photobucket.com/albums/x423/rthornhill/?action=view&current=the_boatniks_1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1181.photobucket.com/albums/x423/rthornhill/the_boatniks_1.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> one star for my favorite line: we're running low on vermouth, we're out of ice! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Promising Disney comedy that continually loses its way. They could have supplied Phil Silvers with a much better script than this as he looks ordinary for once. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Read all reviews
