Audience Member Love Ajay Devgan's slap stick comedy and sense of the English language in the movie. Never a dull moment and there is so much drama and comedy in this movie. Had a good laugh! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Abhishek Bachchan puts in a superb performance. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Plot: Abbas Ali (Abhishek Bachchan) moves to Ranakpur village from NEW DELHI after losing out on his ancestral property. An unexpected break in at a local temple brings him face to face with Prithviraj Raghuvanshi (Ajay Devgan), a local power lord. In an attempt to cover up his real Muslim identity, Abbas creates other believable cover-up characters for himself posing as a Hindu, a homosexual and a flurry of other supporting cast to help cover his garb. Rest of the story is about Prithviraj coming to terms with real identity of Abbas accompanied by a string of comic goof ups and hilarious mis-identities coming in to play. Positives: --> Abhishek Bachchan's hilarious portrayal as a homosexual --> Entertaining sequence of events and --> Original plot from old movie Golmaal Negatives: --> Cliched story line when compared with current cinematic standards Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review flixster f For a remake of Golmaal, the script is adequately modified to feel the difference. Unfortunately, the difference is no good. While it's been given a modern look & the budget has been no restriction, the movie on the whole doesn't stand good. I'd expected a mediocre comedy, but it turned out to be below that. The last half hour is a drag, although the rest is almost as trashy. I can only hope that Shetty has no plans for sequels!!! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A boring movie with only some good performances by Ajay Devgn and Abhishek Bachchan. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Nice Comedy... They english is the best part... If u like Golmaal, u ll like this movie... Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express Bol Bachchan, less blaring than your standard Rohit Shetty comedy, can give you sporadic chuckles, and a few helpess laughs. Can't expect more. Rated: 2.5/5 Mar 26, 2019 Full Review Lisa Tsering Hollywood Reporter This big-budget summer release starts off awkwardly with a half-hearted music number, but once it kicks into gear, the film's engaging performances and ever-spiraling hysteria make its two-and-a-half-hour running time fly by. Jul 5, 2016 Full Review Ronnie Scheib Variety Bol Bachchan carries off its rapidly thinning, virtually villain-free plot thanks to its fast-paced presentation of a storyline that hinges on a succession of double identities and escalating fabrications. Jul 11, 2012 Full Review Peter Galvin sbs.com.au The energy, the performances, the comedy, the story rhythms, production and styling, and the sheer manic craziness takes hold from the get-go and does not let up over its nearly three-hour running time. Rated: 3/5 Jul 5, 2016 Full Review Manish Gajjar Birmingham Mail Director Shetty delivers another successful comedy after box office hits like Golmaal, All The Best and Singham.
