Engaging and at times enjoyable, but overall this film uses very thick strokes of paint from the brush. Felt like I imagine Lifetime or Hallmark movies would be like. I went to see the story of his life and I got what I wanted from it.

Story worthy of an award-winning movie but this one missed the mark. Terrible acting all around. I t was hard for me to engage the characters because i was distracted by the constant reminder that i was watching 'acting'. Bonhoeffer should have been a sympathetic character but i couldn't relate to him. I wasn't drawn at all by his backstory. It didn't feel relavant (but it was). In many cases the cinematography felt gratitudeous. Several scenes i was wondering what the purpose was or why the actors were positioned precisely that way. Very distracting

This is my first time hearing the Bonhoeffer story, so I went in not knowing what to expect. The movie was put together very well, from the background music to the leaves rustling hard in the wind. I really felt immersed in the experience. I especially enjoyed the sound of the echoes in the cathedral.

I found it accurate. The story line followed Bonhoeffer's life as well as a number of parallel events in the bible. The movie was realistic. Good cinematography.

Excellent movie and portrayal of an exceptionally important figure from WWII and today. For a time such as this! (Warning: the dialogue can be difficult to hear, especially with some of the accents. I do wish theaters turned on the closed caption options!)
