Ariana H Overall this movie was a bit of a disappointment. We thought this would be an epic adventure as Bonzo runs away from the circus to get a better education and discover his talent for college football. Surprisingly, Bonzo doesn't even go to the college campus until about 50 minutes in! Very disappointing, especially since the first hour was not very interesting. However, this movie has some fascinating looks into nepotism and law enforcement, as well as feelings of inadequacy in the entertainment industry and what it means to truly discover oneself in adolescence. Bonzo was a hilarious, intelligent monkey who I hope was treated well by his handlers and lived a good long life. His relationship to the young girl in the movie was questionable but sweet, and Bonzo was always looking stylish in his custom tailored outfits. It's free to watch on YouTube and is a delightful classic if you have an hour and a half to waste! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/05/22 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
