GuessedFlounder Its an entertaining short film but it does have its flaws; like how this short film doesn't add anything to the main storyline outside Bork being Gobber's ancestor because everything else was retconned by future instalments even future shorts and other refences to the Book it's self. 6/10 would recommend it to children would give it a 8/10 if it wasn't retconned. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/18/23 Full Review Taran W Fun lore addition to one of the best franchises ever! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/20/23 Full Review Fabian C The strangest thing about this short is the way of telling it, it's basically a POV, leaving that aside, this animated short is only good for one thing, expanding the world of How to Train Your Dragon a little more, it's basically 18 minutes of Hiccups, Astrid, Fishlegs and Gobber explaining different dragons and also telling you the story of Bork, the creator of the book of dragons, it's good to pass the time but nothing very memorable, although something to highlight is the animation in the scenes of the book, how can it happen from 2D to 3D, you can also see different dragon designs, mostly rejected, in short, a concise and to the point animated short.
