A juvenile, ugly movie that represents the worst tendencies of directors channeling Tarantino.

J. R. Jones Chicago Reader A macho bloodbath with a lot of juvenile humor and fake Catholic mysticism... Jul 14, 2022 Full Review Nathan Rabin AV Club Satire or self-parody would be vastly preferable to the film's unironic endorsement of outlaw justice, but you'd be hard pressed to find anything resembling irony or subversiveness in this exercise in lovingly rendered ultra-violence. Jul 26, 2011 Full Review Nick Schager Lessons of Darkness [A] dim-witted, aesthetically clunky Tarantino clone. Rated: C- Oct 23, 2009 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review The entire production feels uneven, shoddy, and offensively oxymoronic. Rated: 0.5/4 Aug 30, 2023 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins An enthralling gangster epic, a solid action film, and a jolting vigilante-justice crime caper. Rated: 7/10 Sep 10, 2020 Full Review Ed Travis Hollywood Jesus The Boondock Saints, on one level, is a really great direct-to-video cult film. Stylish, defiantly endearing, and even borderline iconic. Apr 10, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Great movie, hope the tomatometer doesn't fool you, and the so called "critics" one of my english teachers recommeded this movie after we talked about actors like Willem Dafoe and Norman Reedus. he said that this movie was a much watch. and he was right. This movie is amazing. Love the comedy parts. and the action scene's. no spoilers ;) If you're looking for a movie to watch with the boys. this one is it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/11/25 Full Review Laura B While the inspiration from Quentin Tarantino films can feel a bit obvious and take you out of the film for a bit, the overall presentation is mind blowing. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/03/25 Full Review Jared M. Whole bunch of meh…. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/01/25 Full Review Chris Y Bad movie, reviews on this film confuse me. Anyone who gives this movie 5 stars must be a neanderthal. Critics are a little too harsh on this film its not that bad artistically and does hold some deeper commentary on religion, justice, and morality. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/25/25 Full Review Iscritto I A very nice, funny and active movie. Maybe you won't watch it a second time but it's surely worth to watch it the first time! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/24/25 Full Review Greg D This movie was fantastic from start to finish, it was fun, action packed and funny in parts as well. An original premise that is unapologetic in it approach to story telling. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/23/25 Full Review Read all reviews
