Michael Rechtshaffen Los Angeles Times A shrill urban relationship satire whose lead protagonists are so insufferably self-centered and whiny, there's little hope for redemption. May 10, 2018 Full Review Craig D. Lindsey Village Voice Really, this movie is just a stockpiled compendium of terrible decisions, both behind and in front of the camera. May 9, 2018 Full Review Paul Parcellin Film Threat Born Guilty has occasional bursts of humor that work...Unfortunately, these moments are too sparse to give the film the sparkle it needs. Rated: 4.5/10 May 7, 2018 Full Review Rich Cline Shadows on the Wall Pretty much everything about this film is over-the-top, from inappropriate conversations to the cluttered sets and goofy costumes. Audience Member Very refreshing to see a hot young dude loving a hot older woman. Love the incredible Rosanna Arquette's witty and desperate mom character. I think it is funny and relatable because my mom is just like her. I would be nice if the film digs deeper how the protagonist realized he needs to take charge of his life. Maybe also showing that he fell in love with an independent, emotionally stable girl ( like the coworkers), instead there are lots of shots about both the needy friends and mom's endless verbal harassment? Overall it is a harmless movie, despite some plot flaws and sexist speech by the protagonist Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member A clever romcom showcasing rosanna arquette at her best.
