      Critics Consensus

Critics say Bounce is more of a thud. Plot turns feel cliched and contrived, and the romance between Paltrow and Affleck fails to engage.

Lorenz R Completely inconsequential! It sounds like a normal love story. Or a twist of fate. One husband dies and another enters the widow's life completely unexpectedly. In the process, they fall in love with each other. Sounds like a script from life. And that's where the dog is buried! The story is probably well-intentioned and really as described from life. But it's not even that boring! The whole movie is lame and completely meaningless. Yes, even the actors look bored and hope that the movie will be over soon. If I can cook dinner in a film, feed the cats and water the flowers, but not lose the thread in this film and remain completely untouched at the end, something has already gone wrong. Conclusion: Well-intentioned love movie that doesn't need the world! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/29/23 Full Review jay s The transform of an unscrupulous, cynical man will work in Hollywood, except in real life. The protagonist's sexual arousal is understandable, and in real life, it will remain just arousal and nothing more. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review steve d melodramatic but engaging enough to watch. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Paltrow's character not believable. Tired plot - he holds back info for her own good. They fall in love. She finds out "the secret" and gets pissed. then they get together - I think - I've already forgotten.
