Audience Member This is a very faithful adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize winning novel by the great Anne Tyler (Accidental Tourist, Saint Maybe, etc.) Joanne Woodward won Golden Globe and James Garner was nominated. It is warm, tender, funny, revelatory, everything you expect from a Tyler story. Incidentally, Rotten Tomatoes, the illustration you have chosen is for an entirely different "Breathing Lessons." You need to change it. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member RT has the wrong movie info for this movie. I saw the John Erman movie as described in the movie info and it was a Hallmark Hall of Fame made for TV film. That film was not what I had hoped for as the book its based on is a Pulitzer prize winning book. James Garner made me stay with the film but aside from him it didn't make much of an impression .
