Audience Member I found this movie.. yes disturbing.. I am from S.Wales but haven't lived there since I was 3, I have family from Bridgend. I know the area but found it discriminatory, the movie wasn't written by anyone from the area. It was very Arty & contemporary which I guess won the film awards, but who the heck was there when these suicides were taking place? Who is there now making sure people are doing ok? 🤔 I guess not! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Found all the teenagers really irritating, jumping around topless and screaming for no apparent reason. Maybe I'm just too old for this but I think a documentary would have been more interesting. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Very dark and creepy tone that is very well done. Hannah Murray is great along with the rest of the cast. Kept getting the movie Kids pop into my head as a comparison, only much darker. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Weirdly hypnotic. And good in a painful way. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member An unimaginable reality is brought to the brink of clarity -- only to plunge right back into a psychological abyss -- in Danish helmer Jeppe Ronde's potent, pain-ridden Bridgend. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Bridgend [Ronde, 2016] When there's a teen suicide outbreak, how are you not going to like it? 7/10 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Alexandra Heller-Nicholas The Blue Lenses Bridgend is ... a hollow, empty and predominantly cold film, but it is open for debate as to whether this is the result of a filmmaking flaw or - as is more likely - a deliberate strategy. Aug 25, 2018 Full Review Nick Allen RogerEbert.com The ambitions are there in Rnde's film and are exciting to witness, as is the evocative imagery. But "Bridgend" feels imbalanced. Rated: 2.5/4 May 6, 2016 Full Review Ken Jaworowski New York Times A stylishly shot, eerily scored and moodily acted film that wants for nothing but a plot. Depending on how you like your movies, this is either a walkout or a must-see. May 5, 2016 Full Review Jason Adams The Film Experience Moribund on arrival Jul 2, 2021 Full Review Morgan Rojas Cinemacy Coming of age in a town with no hope for the future, Bridgend is a sensitive exploration of natural adolescent confusion, romanticism, and sadness. Aug 6, 2018 Full Review Sean Axmaker Seanax.com Rnde shot the film on location "in the Valleys" of rural Wales and the atmosphere of the landscape pervades the film; gloomy and isolated and swallowed up in fog, it is beautiful but lonely ...
