Sheriff Wes Clayton is also a Mormon bishop in a picturesque little burg called Brigham. One day he discovers the body of a woman from California, murdered and left by her car. Wes tries to keep the murder from the people of the town, but soon realizes it could be one of them. He must now solve the murder any way he can before it is too late.

With the stench of a Mormon version of a faith-based film, it feels like it's trying to (not-so-)subtly serve as a promotion of the LSD church. Luckily, it's so much better than that. It's a powerfully well-written tale about a small-town sheriff trying to keep his town from falling apart after a series of murder rocks his town. Even with the insipid visuals and amateurish acting, it's an endlessly engaging mystery with a stellar cast of characters, whose message of (self-)forgiveness is wonderfully non-denominational.

This is a great murder mystery film... the director does a great job of story telling and you never see it coming! Usually I can predict a movie like this in 20 mins or less. Not this one.

Simply an excellent murder mystery movie. Richard Dutcher manages to blend it in with religous overtones, and this movie has perhaps, the most emotionally powerful scene in LDS film history.
