Every anecdote is overlong, any point worth making is made seven times over and occasional non-sequitur gems float above the relentless bed of juke-box rock.

It is an occasionally insightful, never particularly ambitious documentary, but one filled with tales of camaraderie and revelry that bring the story of Platoon to life with a clear passion and reverence.

The gold standard for a behind the scenes look at what it took to make platoon. Paul (doc) Sanchez captures the raw emotion and anxiety the actors,crew and extras were feeling. A must see!

A beautiful, funny and moving tribute to the men who braved the jungles of the Philippines to make the movie Platoon. Lots of behind the scenes anecdotes and film clips with the actors in the film. Very moving accounts of the bonds they formed as they were thrown together into a real boot camp learning how to be soldiers. I laughed, I cried. See it!
