Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/22/11 Full Review Shad G Falling somewhere between Horror/Suspense and Homo-Eroticism, Bugcrush is an interesting tale to sit through. As with many indie shorts, it leaves you hanging at the end, giving way to your imagination to finish the story. In this case, however, Im not sure Im invested enough with the characters for my mind to bother with the task. Josh Caras gives a noteworthy performance as Ben and offers a character fleshed out enough to be interesting and is probably the one reason I still like this film. The other actors are either far less talented, or so briefly on-screen that they seem one-dimensional caricatures. Although it is told well, the story itself seemed lacking for much of the film. Much like a good idea never fully realized.
