For 60 years, a mysterious monk with no name (Chow Yun-Fat) has zigzagged the globe to protect an ancient scroll -- a scroll that holds the key to unlimited power. Now the Monk must look for a new scroll keeper. Kar (Seann William Scott) is an unlikely candidate, a streetwise young man whose only interest is himself. But when he inadvertently saves the Bulletproof Monk from capture, the two become partners in a scheme to save the world from the scroll's most avid pursuer.

Attempted to re-watch, it’s boring with a few decently choreographed action sequences. Bulletproof monk doesn’t age well period.

I think it's a very fun good story that could have been directed better. I knocked one star off for the crappy music. Mostly annoying music is actually what it is but the rest of the movie I think is very entertaining and a good story. I actually think this movie should have had a sequel it was set up to have one. Would have been good to have one.

Crippled by the PG-13 rating. Their careers have proved that Chow Yun Fat's action and Sean William Scott's comedy are at their best when they're protected by an R rating.

Prefer Fatt's The Replacement Killer better, the Kung Fu wire thing really need some Hollywood makeover. Those Jackie's style fighting & comedy moves may need some lesson from the master himself.
