The honeymoon is over for Patricia Van Dyne (Joan Perry) when she learns a shocking secret about her new husband, Tony (Anthony Quinn) : He's a professional thief. While vacationing in Florida, she catches him stealing from her friends. Matrimony gets considerably worse after the couple return to Chicago. Tony goes on the run, and Patricia finds herself implicated in his crimes. As she tries to defend herself, Patricia meets Detective Mike O'Hara (Roger Pryor), who may just be her salvation.
