[Works] overtime to deliver a spooky carnival ride of a film in one stitched-together "take"... [But] Bury the Devil falls into the same trap as so many before it: beyond this formal hook, it has little else going for it. Go to Full Review

The story’s not quite all the way there, and the camera work sometimes devolves into the needlessly frenetic, but this is still a remarkably tense, brutal piece of work that goes for the throat and, despite loosening its grip now and then, never lets go. Go to Full Review

This technical accomplishment is, unfortunately, implemented for what ... some supernatural shenanigans and an obvious resolution. Go to Full Review

From the strong ensemble cast to the eeriness of quiet, background scares and poignant thematic elements, the 2026 indie film operates to enflame every sense in the viewer’s body and leave them drained and gasping for air. Go to Full Review

Manages to serve up enough tension and make effective enough use of the ‘one-shot’ device to rise above mere gimmickry. Go to Full Review

Ryan P @RT72116183 1d Definitely worth a watch. Creepy movie that builds up and becomes pretty intense. Some cool camera work too. See more Jay M @Docjay50 4d I wish I could get that time back. Too worried about continuing camera rolling and forgot about making a good film See more Cory S @Gator78 4d It’s a watchable, occasionally tense night of horror that benefits from its short runtime and formal experiment, yet it never quite transcends the "promising but familiar" category. Worth a watch if you’re curious about the one shot approach or need a quick, no frills demonic fix—just don’t expect it to stick with you. See more Shazali S @Shazali 4d Yeah, yeah, yeah. One long camera shot. There are so many movies/TV shows doing that already, so it is not THAT impressive anymore. Well,... not really. I think there's some stitching here and there. It DOES give a creepy vibe in the beginning. The surround sound is quite good with all the thudding and creaking behind you (if you have a surround sound system). Then, you realise that the movie is just that. Creaking and thudding,.. then going up and down the stairs. Then "Is that you?" a few times. Oh god,... it's boring. Only the last few minutes more exciting things start to happen, but then, you have already made up your mind that you're not going to like the movie. Please do watch it you have time to waste. I'm going to watch Stickman's Hollow after this. So, let's see if it can make up to my loss time. See more B P @Bradster69 6d A Tense One-Take Horror Experiment That Mostly Pays Off See more John H @RT43561034 6d A fun, tense little horror movie. It's a low-budget indie, so you can't watch it like you would a big horror movie, but they managed to create an interesting story with a real bang of an ending. The sound design is really the champion here and makes it so creepy. The actress that played the old woman was very good, and I loved how the story played out. It gave me hints of what was happening without beating me over the head with it, which left some mystery and kept it scary. Definitely recommend it (especially if it's storming out when you watch it!) See more Read all reviews
