Kimber Myers Los Angeles Times "But Deliver Us From Evil" has no tonal cohesion, and the amateur editing from Coates only exacerbates the issue. Mar 2, 2018 Full Review Mark H. Harris Black Horror Movies But Deliver Us From Evil uses its biblical inspiration to craft a storyline that's more thought-provoking that typical low-budget horror fare. Francois M Feeble. Looks like a student film, essentially. Reasonably interesting premise, a few of the actors did ok, but that's about it. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/25/23 Full Review Audience Member I love the story of Lilith and wanted the actor who played Lilith to be a power to be reckoned with but her acting was mediocre at best. Everyone else was leashed by bad plot, bad writing and cheap production. Lilith, the first feminist needed treatment than this film provided. Just a stupid, unwatchable film, I want my 109 minutes of my life back. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie is a sequel to the long forgotten Def by temptation staring Kadeem Hardenson in the early 90's. However this strikes a more modern cord with the succubus being an exotic dancer instead a bar vixen as shown in the previous movie. As with most B movies the effects are lacking but this movie would be more a kin to the VHS horror series that premiered in the early 2010's, as this movie still delivers an atmosphere of dread because you know what will happen if you take the beautiful antagonist home for a night cap.
