Film Frenzy
This isn’t your typical exploitation yarn -- on the contrary, it’s rife with subtext beneath its occasionally demented exterior.

Powerful, outstanding performance by Bo Svenson. Lots of bloody murder. Plus Julia Duffy nude scenes. Who could ask for anything more?

Under darker direction and a lead actress that didn't overact this could have been a true masterpiece. As it is, it ain't too bad. Look for the pre-"The Silence of the Lambs" scene in the attic or basement; I forget which.

What a delightful little nugget of weirdness! Susan Tyrrell is hysterically deranged, and Bo Svenson plays perhaps the most homophobic detective in silver screen history.

Although the film has it's share of lulls, you can keep yourself amused by watching the cast ham it up. Tyrrell as always, is fun to watch and goes cheerfully over the top playing the demented Aunt Cheryl.
