Sam Adams AV Club A slow-motion car crash of miscalculated charisma, BuzzKill lives and rapidly dies by Daniel Raymont's grating lead performance. Rated: D Feb 16, 2012 Full Review Brian Orndorf BrianOrndorf.com It's a bad movie, but worse, it's an abysmal representation of The Second City, an organization I once believed retained such impeccable taste in the realm of humor. Audience Member This film was slow, boring and not particularly funny. The funniest parts of the film come whenever Ray describes his screenplay to a collection of characters with each character not at all interested in reading it. But those moments, while worth a chuckle, are hardly comedy gold. All in all a disappointing film. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member The plot description is inaccurate to my recent viewing. The summary made me think the killer was either copying events in the manuscript or quoting it to media after murders, either of which sounds interesting, but neither of which is accurate. The events bringing the protagonist and killer together, when a body is dumped, in a bar, and at a motel, are completely implausible to any surrender of reality reasonably to be expected in watching a movie. Somewhere on the internet I succumbed to someone's favorable review of this movie, but it really is not good. Like a lot of other entertainment product, it seems to have a good premise, but nothing worthwhile was done with it. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
