Synopsis
This documentary examines the lives of the Italian immigrant community in Montreal, one of Canada's largest cities. Amid a heavily Francophone population, the Italians there struggle more to adapt to the culture and lifestyle than in other Canadian cities. Studying the history of their immigration -- from fascist xenophobes during World War II to modern expats -- the director attempts to discover their niche in Montreal society, all centering on an espresso bar, Caffe Italia.
