Jake D This is quite the achievement for an indie. For a movie with 1/100th or closer to 1/1000th of the budget ($0.5M) of mainstream movies they managed to make a spooky thriller with some genuinely funny moments and a clever plot. Cinematography looks like a big budget film too. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/26/25 Full Review peter m At times comically bad, this film's only notable achievement is that is makes 86 minutes feel like 3 hours. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/17/25 Full Review Chasity P This movie is the worst movie I have seen in a long time. I am not sure where the positive reviews stemmed but I wouldn't believe then. Bad acting, horrible plot, terrible animations and honestly, they should pay us to watch it Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/11/25 Full Review Dave P I signed up here simply to post a review. DO NOT believe any review that says things like "blew me away", "gripping" or "riveting", because these reviewers have either worked on the film or are related to the producers. From the opening scene, you know this is going to be bad, and after enduring 30 minutes, I bailed. Bad acting all around, pointless script, story that goes nowhere, teenage-level SFX. You name it, if you think "bad", it's all here. I watch a lot of lousy movies (mostly horror) but this sinks to the lowest level from the start. It amazes me that movies like this get funded in the first place. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/16/25 Full Review Mary B watched yesterday on Google TV...mix of the Shining and Children of the Corn. There needs to be a Candlewood 2 to tie up loose ends..he is the caretaker but the family said they were there to live full time...does that mean they own or rent? If they own, why have a property care taker....if he is a caretaker why isn't he mowing and chopping wood?Ppl obviously are missing, no one comes by to check...police, FBI etc...obviously there is something going on. The outside communities do not miss the ppl that are missing??? serial killings...Too many holes in storyline...good attempt. Knew from the start they were being drugged via the water. The neighbor wanted milk, no coffee or tea??? Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/25 Full Review Patrick B Horrendously bad. Terribly acted, written and shot. No redeeming qualities. The interesting thing about the reviews is the chasm between the ratings. There are people raving about the movie, and then people shocked by how bad the movie is. Guess who the people are who are raving about it? I’ll give you three guesses. Let’s put it this way. This movie is about a family that buys a house, packs up and moves to the house — without ever having seen the house. No, seriously, that’s the premise. You know how everyone does that — just buys a house they’ve never visited or seen? That’s the kind of writing we’re talking about here, like a movie written by a 12 year old. The five star reviews completely crack me up. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/22/25 Full Review Read all reviews
