Alexandra Heller-Nicholas AWFJ.org I liked watching Cannibal Mukbang: at its best, it is fun, it is sexy, and it gives the tried-and-true blood-and-guts soaked horror-comedy a lovely romcom twist. Justin K It’s creative and exciting and I feel like it makes you feel the attachment to this crazy destructive relationship. You want more and you’re terrified. The thing that stood out to me the most is not just the great story and effects. but the acting is unbelievable. If you actually watch this movie from start to finish, you’re probably going to be glued to it because the acting is so real and authentic and You forget you’re watching a movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/14/25 Full Review acsdoug D I went in expecting camp and/or horror. What I got was boredom. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/11/25 Full Review PVD HORROR _ Cannibal Mukbang is a quirky, fun, and well executed indie horror that at points touches on human connection while also highlighting just how damaging some encounters can be on our world view. The film manages to present at times with arthouse maturity while never coming off pretentious, delivering the blood and gore while also still having emotion and feeling. The film is shot well, a highlight of this being a flashback scene shot in 8mm. Aimee Kuge does well with the direction of this film, managing to keep a storyline that is flowing while also not feeling rushed, spending time to highlight the moments that feel important, such as our main characters building connection or when we have our reveal, but then pushing things along outside of this to prevent lag. April Consalo and Nate WIse are both great in their roles, likable characters who you root for, then feeling caught at odds in the finale of the film as we are presented with a moral dilemma that requires decisions to be made. This is a film I definitely recommend. If you like quirky indie films, whether they be horror or even mumblecore dramas, this may be a film you will enjoy. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/15/25 Full Review Eoin C Cannibal Mukbang is a dish best served in the company of other good people, possibly at a gathering in Scotland. Recommended! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/03/25 Full Review CaptCha N The Male Actor is sucha dork, It was hard to get through. I don't know why i'm leaving a review, I didn't even finish the movie yet. I saw Alexandra said it was sexy. I guess i'll wait to see how much the female actress turns us on when she's eating people alive. Hard to get through, get it. I won't be inserting any professional looking review statements on here. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/14/25 Full Review Read all reviews
