Scott New York Times The lovely and strange Birdsong (El Cant dels Ocells) is less a retelling of the Nativity story than a dream about it. Rated: 4/5 Feb 25, 2009 Full Review J. Feb 24, 2009 Full Review Robert Koehler Cinema Scope In the current course of films being made around the world that demand new engagement with the essentials of cinema, it is about as important a work as has been made in the past three years. Audience Member One of the worst movies ever seen looks like a rip-off passion of the christ Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Beautifully photographed, minimalistic trip through the desert for the three kings to deliver their gifts to newborn Jesus. Serra stands on this trivial moments that no history would care to record and no Hollywood studio would be inerested to depict. Even epic stories, though, have those little moments of solitude and vastness. Me aburrí. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Black and white. Still as a stuffed goat. No action at all. Plenty to frustrate the audience. Saw this at the LFF with a friend who couldn't take it. You know you're in trouble when the director is pleased with the amount of walk-outs he generates. I kinda liked it, though. 4/10 Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member . . . . . . .....
