Matthew Rozsa Salon.com It is one of the best movies to ever come out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, balancing engaging action set pieces and witty dialogue with intelligent character studies and ethical debates. Rated: 3.5/4 Aug 3, 2017 Full Review Aramide Tinubu Shadow and Act Captain America: Civil War proves that Marvel knows how to lay down a stunning foundation in order to detail an epic saga. Apr 12, 2017 Full Review Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com Captain America: Civil War is fun; it's too well made, acted and scripted for it to be anything less. Rated: 2.5/4 Aug 11, 2016 Full Review Don Shanahan Every Movie Has a Lesson This is a "war" where quips and quotes greatly outnumber casualties. The noticeable flaws are clear to see, but the thrills and simple satisfactions more than save the day. Rated: 3/5 Jul 17, 2025 Full Review Justin Kim Loud and Clear Reviews The things it does well far outshine its downsides, and it is a showcase that comic book movies can not only be fun and entertaining, but also thought-provoking. Feb 6, 2025 Full Review Denise Pieniazek A Sala Llena (Argentina) The battles have few moments of lucidity compared to other Marvel films, since it seems that there lies the conflict of this new comics universe: achieving the balance between fights and words. Maybe they should take more time to develop the scripts... Rated: 4/10 Jan 14, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Anthony L A perfect introduction to the 3rd phase of the MCU. The story, dialogue, and action blend in a perfect stew of good times. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/01/21 Full Review Jeffrix good movie to follow the story arc. a few issues with the fight scene with all the heroes. vision disappeared through most of it conveniently. and I hate watching iron man and cap fighting. But it's got to follow the arc I guess. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/10/21 Full Review Trevor H. The Russo brothers are back with another cap sequel but it’s also kinda like an avengers movie. After the fallout from past Avengers missions, the United Nations proposes the Sokovia Accords, legislation that would place the Avengers under international oversight to which splits the team as captain America is against the idea while Ironman supports it. It gets more tense when Bucky is blamed for a bombing Steve tries to protect him, but Tony wants him brought in. The twist is pretty unfortunate for Tony as it turns out Bucky while brainwashed killed his parents. I feel like there were some pacing issues though as well as Zemo being underutilized and underwhelming. Overall actually an amazing film that’s grounded 9/10 Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/26/25 Full Review Renaldo D They got it right once again how to make a hero movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/25/25 Full Review Juan D Very good end to the trilogy but is more of an Avengers movie than a Captain America movie Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/20/25 Full Review Ryan H Another solid Captain America film from the Russos that also proves as the perfect testing ground for their handling of the their Avengers films.
