As portrayed by the stiff Acquanetta, Paula Depree / The Ape Woman is a dull character in either form. Go to Full Review

Ted B @Movieaddicted Sep 28 2.5 stars; and this rating may be a little high. I gave good credit to the lion tamer scenes, which were very exciting. I was also a John Carradine fan in these early Universal horror films. That was about all I could come up with positive. As part of the Werewolf series of this era, it came up fairly short. I think the Three Stooges did a spoof of this film, and it turned out to be just as good. See more Valerii Ege D 09/13/2023 Probably the most boring horror movie in Universal Horror. Like the whole film was designed for Milburn Stone so he could impress some people. The only gain for me is that the movie introduced me to Acquanetta. See more Steve D 05/29/2023 complete and total nonsense. See more Blobbo X @Blobbo 05/03/2023 Blobbo never knew Gunsmoke's Doc Adams was good lion tamer. Funny to see Milburn Stone and sheriff from Rifleman Paul Fix in same movie. One of Mickey Rooney's wives in here, too. Cute. ok, maybe 3 stars? But ... geez. So hokey Also, lion and tiger "taming" not nice to beasts. See more 08/25/2015 Very boring. Doesn't live up to it's fun premise. See more 02/28/2015 Though it clearly defies reason, the lively thriller has a fine sinister performance by Carradine and a crazy tale to spin that is strangely palpable. There's lots of  recycled footage of Clyde Beatty from the 1932's The Big Cage, where he's taming the big cats. See more Read all reviews
