Gareth D Gritty, real and sad. Hard to follow sometimes with no subtitles as a native English speaker. But very engaging and raw performances, especially by Connor. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/26/24 Full Review Audience Member Gripping, edge of your seat the entire time. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Waste of time watching this film no story nothing. Watching green street is better Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review sarah s Involving a young small-time dealer and his friends, the gang find themselves in a game too big for them to deal with. The main character J is a big guy who uses his weight to be tough because that's what others expect. His big heart is the problem and his sadly, downfall. I a game where everyone's jaded and out for superficial means, he makes mistakes as he tries to help his mother with debt, keep his girlfriend happy and try not to fall in love with slags he shouldn't. Emotionally involving, exciting and a sneak peek into an underbelly going on that many people are unaware of. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Good film but it should have subtitles as the strong irish brogue is sometimes hard to follow Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Just another gangster movie that glorifies gangsters with a bunch of gangsta dialogue. I dropped it after 20 minutes. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Andrea Gronvall Chicago Reader ...any sympathy for our "hero" is severely taxed. Rated: 2/4 Oct 3, 2018 Full Review Ed Potton Times (UK) Mark O'Connor's film is a formulaic, but confidently handled gangster flick set in the rock-hard Darndale district of north Dublin. Rated: 3/5 Aug 4, 2017 Full Review Peter Bradshaw Guardian O'Connor puts the pedal to the metal with this picture and drives it like he stole it, as they say - with some exhilarating results. Rated: 3/5 Aug 3, 2017 Full Review Conor Dowling Film Ireland Magazine It is sure to appeal to a large audience in Ireland and abroad and I look forward to what all involved will show us next. Mar 28, 2018 Full Review Andrew Winter Film Inquiry It explores themes similar to the director's previous films, King Of The Travellers, Stalker, and Between The Canals, and, like them, persuasively evokes the lives of marginalised people. Mar 25, 2018 Full Review Annie Curran Film Ireland Magazine The idiom an "eye for an eye" has never rang more true. Mar 23, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews
