Audience Member What is the point of telling the life story of a princess and not doing anything with it? Everything is so lifeless and didactic, the accents are ridiculous, the sense of humor is awful and it is hard to believe that this was the movie that caused the resumption of Brazilian cinema in the 1990s. A wondeful work of Carla Camurati and the actors Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Conta com alguns errinhos históricos, mas sempre achei bem engraçado e divertido de se ver. Haha Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Um filme que retrata de forma bem humorada a transferencia da família Real Portuguesa para o Brasil! Simplesmente adoro! Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Good Brazilian historical film of the tempestuous Carlota Joaquina. I suspect it plays a bit fast and loose with the facts, but it is often quite funny and well-worth the effort, especially for any fans of Brazilian culture. Marieta Severo (Chico Buarque's ex-wife) is very good in the title role. The film was among the first of the current creative wave of Brazilian film-making.
